Rewrite a reply with AI

Updated October 27, 2026

The “Rewrite” button rewrites what you typed in the Tone chosen for the App and corrects grammar and spelling. It works on a reply and on an internal note.

Rewrite a text

  1. Type your reply or note in the message box.
  2. Click “Rewrite”, next to Saved replies. The message box stays locked while it rewrites.
  3. The new text replaces yours. Read it, then send.

What the AI keeps

  • The language of your text: it never translates.
  • About the same length.
  • Names, links, emails, numbers, emoji and Saved reply variables, as they are.

Choose the Tone

  1. Open App settings > AI > Replies. Only the Owner or an Admin can change the Tone.
  2. Under “Rewrite”, choose a Tone: Professional (the default), Friendly or Correct only.
  3. Every Rewrite by the team in this App follows it.
  • Professional: clear and courteous.
  • Friendly: warm and simple, still polite.
  • Correct only: fixes grammar, spelling and punctuation, without changing your words.

What a rewrite uses

5 rewrites use 1 AI reply from your Plan, then from your AI packs. A rewrite that fails is not counted, and “Undo” gives nothing back. With no AI reply left, “Rewrite” offers the next Plan and an AI pack. See Your Plan’s AI replies and AI packs.

Back to your text

After a rewrite, the button becomes “Undo”: it puts your own text back. As soon as you type again, it is “Rewrite” again.

In the Mobile app

In a conversation, tap “Rewrite” under your reply or note: the button glows while it rewrites, then the new text comes in word by word. It uses the App’s Tone, as in the dashboard, and “Undo” puts your text back until you type again. With no AI reply left, a message says so: the Owner or an Admin changes the Plan or adds an AI pack on the web.

The text needs at least 3 characters and at most 2,000. If the AI cannot do it, “Couldn’t rewrite” shows and your text stays as it was. The button is hidden when AI is unavailable; it stays even when the App’s AI replies are off.
