Install the chat on WordPress or Shopify

On WordPress and Shopify, the chat installs with the same install code as a website, pasted once into your theme.

1. Open App settings > Developers > Domain, apps and pages. In “Domain”, type the domain of your shop or site. On Shopify, the one your customers see: the myshopify.com address does not show the chat.
2. Open App settings > Developers > Getting started. In the install step, pick “WordPress” or “Shopify” in “Tool”.
3. Copy the install code shown.

WordPress

Paste the code before your theme’s </body> tag, or in a plugin that adds code to the footer of every page. The chat shows at the bottom of each page.

Shopify

1. In Shopify, open Online Store > Themes.
2. On your theme, open the menu, then “Edit code”.
3. Open theme.liquid and paste the code just before the </body> tag.
4. Save: the chat shows on every page of the shop. As soon as it shows there, the platform moves to Production by itself.

This code is an example: copy the real one from App settings > Developers > Getting started. It never changes: chat updates arrive without touching it. The details: Documentation > WordPress and Shopify.
