Turn on browser notifications
Updated October 28, 2026
Browser notifications alert you when a Contact writes in a conversation of your Apps that is unassigned or assigned to you, even when the dashboard is closed. Click an alert to open the conversation.
- Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then “My profile”.
- In “Notifications”, turn on “Browser notifications”.
- Accept your browser’s permission request.
Good to know
- The setting applies to this browser only: turn it on on every computer or phone you use.
- The sound plays for the same alerts while the dashboard is open. Change or test it in “Sound”.
- While Conversations wait to be read, the dashboard’s tab shows their number in its title and a red dot on its icon, with nothing to turn on.
- A browser carries one member’s alerts: if someone else signs in on it, notifications start off there.
- Signing out turns off notifications in that browser.
Who gets alerted
Alerts come from every App you work in. For an unassigned conversation, every member of the App is alerted. Once the conversation is assigned, only the assigned member is.
Outside an App’s opening hours, or while you are Unavailable, its conversations send no notification and play no sound. Missed notifications are not sent later: the conversations wait in the inbox. Replies in your conversation with our team still reach you.
Notifications blocked? Click the icon left of the site address, allow notifications, then reload the page.
